A New Q and A Mid August

There are just 7 questions.  Some are multiple choice, because we all love those multiple choice tests. ( my answers are below)

unnamed

*Are you trying any new crafts?

*Do you love a favorite logo for a product? unnamed-1

*I have Knitlite lighted needle tips.  I have to work on something with them because I love the Concept.  Do you secretly favor one set of your needles over the rest in your family?

*Currently, which  is growing better in your garden, the plants or the weeds?

*The knitting gods are smiling down on you.  You get one wish.  Do you wish

a) to never drop a needle and have to find it again( because you cannot twist yourself into the pretzel position needed to get at it under the car seats)

b) to never run out of yarn for a project (because you grind your teeth from the moment you think you may run out, and dental care is expensive)

c) to never have to pick up a dropped stitch in garter (because you would love to knit easy peasy garter stitch, but you don’t because you dread the inevitable pick up)

*It is mid August and I am too cheap to get a pedicure.  Am I the only woman on the  face of the Earth who wears sandals and shows her bare naked toenails?

*Admit you last impulse purchase.  There’s no judgement here!  I swear.  C’mon , tell us. !!

My answers:

Zach bought me a caligraphy set for my birthday!  I can do this!  I’m going to practice today.  Any tips of course are welcome…

I love Milwaukee’s Miller High Life girl swinging on the moon!!!!!

My light up needles as you guessed!

While I am delighted with the small groups of cosmos and mini mums and daisies, I have to admit, the weeds around the other areas are prolific, happy and thrilled to wander all over the place.

My wish is to never drop a garter stitch.

Yup, my toenails are just clean. Not polished.  Because I hate when they chip.

I absolutely caved when I saw the STUCK ON EWE push pins somewhere in an ad on line.  Can you even???

  1. *Are you trying any new crafts?
No – I have more than enough on my plate! Though I do want to rug hook at some point!)
*Do you love a favorite logo for a product?
    Can’t say I do.
*I have Knitlite lighted needle tips. I have to work on something with them because I love the Concept. Do you secretly favor one set of your needles over the rest in your family?
I wouldn’t say I favour one over the other, but I do have favourite brands. I like knitpicks for my dpns, nad my circular needles are Chiao Goo red lace.
*Currently, which is growing better in your garden, the plants or the weeds?
The plants are doing fabulously, though the weeds are probably a close second.
*The knitting gods are smiling down on you. You get one wish.
    b) to never run out of yarn for a project (because you grind your teeth from the moment you think you may run out, and dental care is expensive)
*It is mid August and I am too cheap to get a pedicure. Am I the only woman on the face of the Earth who wears sandals and shows her bare naked toenails?
Not at all. I often give my toes a “breather” in the summer. I think as long as they are clean, it’s a-ok

Those silly candles I buy with jewelry in them.

  2. *i have my eye on trying spinning but I’m not allowed to start anything new until the rug is done!
*I’ve never really thought about logos before- hmmm, I’ll have to think about that.
    * I love my addi turbo needles a lot, but lately my so light Knitter’s Pride DPNs have been a joy.
*i has to forego a garden until Fall so we’ll see when I get home if there is anything alive in my house!
*i would never run out of yarn as this seems to always be a worry for me:(
    * i only get two pedicures a year so my nails are usually bare.
*i bought a new fleece jacket while on holidays that was not on my list of what I need.

  3. I haven’t tried any new crafts this summer, but I may take a class or two this Fall. I love my Knit Picks interchangeable needles and use them almost exclusively. My toes nails are always bare; although, my big toe nails are currently quite colorful after I accidentally dropped a piece of furniture on them. They are still tender to touch.

  4. 1.) Are you trying any new crafts?
I am not. I am pondering weaving, but sticking with knitting and still mastering spinning.

2.)Do you love a favorite logo for a product?
I have never thought about this at all. I am not into logos or cartoons too much, but I like the Nike swish.

3.) Do you secretly favor one set of your needles over the rest in your family?
Addi nickel plated circulars are wonders, my treasures, yet I mostly use my knitters pride dreamz interchangeables.

4.) Currently, which is growing better in your garden, the plants or the weeds?
It’s a toss up. Before we got some rain, the gravel was doing the best, but now I think that things are green again. Where I cared for the garden and mulched, plants are winning. Everywhere else, I have wildflowers, not weeds. It is all in the terminology.

5.) The knitting gods are smiling down on you. You get one wish. Do you wish

    b) to never run out of yarn for a project
I choose this one because, think about it. Buy one skein, knit a sweater!

6.) It is mid August and I am too cheap to get a pedicure. Am I the only woman on the face of the Earth who wears sandals and shows her bare naked toenails?

You are not. I have never had a pedicure, but usually paint my own toenails. this summer I just never got to it, and why bother now?

7.) Admit you last impulse purchase.
It was just yesterday – the book of Japanese knitting patterns. They are just all so beautiful!

The craft of sleeping all night long…
*Do you love a favorite logo for a product?
    Cannot think of one
*Do you secretly favor one set of your needles over the rest in your family?
    No
*Currently, which is growing better in your garden, the plants or the weeds?
All are dying, except the spiders
*The knitting gods are smiling down on you. You get one wish. Do you wish
    b) to never run out of yarn for a project
*Am I the only woman on the face of the Earth who wears sandals and shows her bare naked toenails?
I would bare my nekkid toes if I didn’t have a terrific holistic, non-toxic salon to go to!
    *Admit you last impulse purchase.

  6. 1. Always. I watch way too many You Tube tutorials and then buy things I have no business buying. Right now it’s watercolor. I am really terrible but I can’t stop making swatches.
    2. The Land O Lakes butter girl. We’ve all seen the joke but she really is sweet. Now I want butter.
    3. My Knit Picks interchangeable ones.
    4. Weeds! It’s too hot and sticky to go out and even think about working in the yard.
    5. Never run out of yarn. I do it all the time.
    6. Can’t do it but I do paint my own so it’s no big deal. I pick a color for the summer and just keep brushing on more when it chips. This year I’m purple and I could use another coat.

  7. *Are you trying any new crafts?
    Not right now.
*Do you love a favorite logo for a product?
    I can’t think of one.
*Do you secretly favor one set of your needles over the rest in your family?
    My signature sock needles.
*Currently, which is growing better in your garden, the plants or the weeds?
    Plants are doing well.
*The knitting gods are smiling down on you. You get one wish. Do you wish
Not to run out of yarn.
*Am I the only woman on the face of the Earth who wears sandals and shows her bare naked toenails?
I do my own and they don’t chip much. A good finish coat works wonders, especially with walking on the gravel roads at the lake.
*Admit your last impulse purchase. Three Debbie Macomber books from Amazon.

  8. *Any new crafts? No.
*Favorite logo for a product? None come to mind. The perfect one will probably arrive just as I’ve pressed send…
*Favor any needles? No, although I’m working on replacing all my little bamboo US 1s and 1.5s with metal, because I just bend the bejesus out of wooden ones.
*Plants or the weeds? Two weeks ago, it was definitely the vines, but my tomatoes refuse to be outdone.
*The knitting gods are smiling down on you. Do you wish c) to never drop a garter stitch, I guess. Although dread is probably a strong term for it and really none of these three things are on my list of knitting irks.
*Bare naked toenails? You probably aren’t the *only* one. I don’t bother with the pedicure, but I like colorful nails. I leave it on until it grows out/chips off/I have an event where I think I might care. (Rudi probably wishes I like nail polish a little less, since bottles occasionally like to jump out of the medicine cabinet when he opens it to get the dental floss.)
*Admit you last impulse purchase. Ha! In keeping with a theme, it was pink nail polish, when I stopped to buy contact solution last weekend.

  9. Great questions! I’ll answer a few:)
*I love my old Skacel double pointed needles. They are size 1 1/2. If anything happened to them I would be sad.
    * The weeds have taken over everything!
    * My impulse purchases are usually food. I got fudge dipped mini Oreo thins. They were disappointing:(

  10. I secretly would like to try spindle spinning but honestly don’t need another set of craft supplies. My favorite brand of circular needles is Knitter’s Pride – the metal ones. The weeds are definitely in the lead here. I would like never to drop a knitting needle under a car or airplane seat again. Latest impulse buy – a new journal.

  11. *Are you trying any new crafts?
Other than the ones I’ve been doing, not really although I’ll be trying silicone chocolate molds and drawing with candy melts tomorrow.
*Do you love a favorite logo for a product?
    No
*Do you secretly favor one set of your needles over the rest in your family?
I gave away my Clover Takumi bamboo circulars to the Ulloa Children’s Center. I only use my Chiaogood interchangeables for projects and still use my Clover Takumi bamboo DPN’s for sock knitting.
*Currently, which is growing better in your garden, the plants or the weeds?
    Neither
*The knitting gods are smiling down on you. You get one wish. Do you wish a) to never drop a needle and have to find it again( because you cannot twist yourself into the pretzel position needed to get at it under the car seats)

    b) to never run out of yarn for a project (because you grind your teeth from the moment you think you may run out, and dental care is expensive)

    c) to never have to pick up a dropped stitch in garter (because you would love to knit easy peasy garter stitch, but you don’t because you dread the inevitable pick up)
    I guess B.

*Am I the only woman on the face of the Earth who wears sandals and shows her bare naked toenails?
I gave up pedis since we’ve moved. I had intended to do my own toenails but forget.
    *Admit your last impulse purchase.
It’s probably not my last but I bought Susan B. Anderson’s Butterfly Coccon kit when it was once flashed in an e-letter.
